The NASA Spot The Station website lists a schedule of timings and directions that the space station will be visible from our part of the world for the next weeks. This is the optimum viewing period as the sun reflects off the space station and contrasts against the darker sky." It adds: "All sightings will occur within a few hours before or after sunrise or sunset. The agency says: "Visible to the naked eye, it looks like a fast-moving plane only much higher and traveling thousands of miles an hour faster!" NASA says it is the third brightest object in the sky, and should be easy to spot if you know when to look up.
